Exhausted

June 14th, 2007 (01:02 am)
exhausted

current mood: exhausted

No one said being a mommy was so exhausting. I don't think I've slept fully in the last three months. I've lost a lot of weight, because I just don't have the time to eat and when I do its as much as I can until Christopher starts screaming.

Eric's been great, he's had to go back to work though which sucks; but from the minute he leaves in the morning, till the moment he comes home at night he takes care of Christopher to let me get a little rest. I'm not saying that I'm not enjoying being a mommy, because I love it and I love my baby, but ... baby's really know how to work you.

# 181 - Describe your perfect day

June 3rd, 2007 (01:01 pm)
hopeful

current mood: hopeful

Well first off, my perfect day would have nothing in it to do with working. I don't really think there is such a thing as a perfect day, but if I could have one this is how it would go.

Wake up at eleven thirty in the morning, lying on my right side there's James Marsden, mainly because since I saw him in those X-Men movies, I find him pretty damn hot, especially in the leather. On my left Julian McMahon, I am a huge fan of him and Nip/Tuck and what girl wouldn't want to wake up to him? I mean, you'd have to be nuts not to want him.

They'd make me breakfast in bed and run around after me, then when I eventually decided to get dressed, they'd hand over the credit cards and Jackie and I would go and max them out ... or at least Jackie would.

Then at dinner, in a lavish restaurant, we'd have normal adult conversation about world politics, stuff in the news and such. Then it would be home to bed ... I think that's possibly the best part of the day!

But... in reality that's never going to happen, so I guess a perfect day for me now would be; Me, Eric and Chris on a family day out to the zoo. Me covered in random sticky things Chris decided to cover his hands in and Eric going on about how some bull frog looked a little like Jabba The Hut from a certain angle. Ah ... family life. Who would possibly want to give it up?

# 177 - Who has made you smile recently?

May 8th, 2007 (01:54 pm)

Recently? Well ...

I guess the last person that really made me smile was Christopher. Actually, I don't think there is a day that goes by that my little boy doesn't make me smile. I mean just watching him sleeping, so innocently in his crib, just makes me smile in amazement that I actually brought that little baby into the world. Each day I watch him progressing, being inquizitive about things around him and it just makes me smile.

Other than our son, Eric is the one who always makes me smile. Sometimes he doesn't even mean to make me smile, but when he comes out with things like "Happy Star Wars day!" you just have to laugh at him. Not in a nasty way, but in a sweet way. Thats the one thing I can count on, if ever I'm upset or just down, Eric is always there to make things better. Though he makes me feel better to a certain point, then he always resorts to sex ... I guess it's a man thing.

Sam makes me smile all the time, even when he's not even in the same state as me. I can always be sure I'll either get an email or a call from him almost every second day, just to say "hey". Sam is probably on the same level as Eric, to me. He took care of me and supported me through everything when I moved to L.A. and I can't thank him enough for it. I don't think I could do without him, I really couldn't, he's almost like the brother I should have had.

I guess Jackie and Hyde have made me smile recently too. I had to ask Hyde's permission to give Christopher his name as a middle name. Which was pretty damn funny, because it was on orders of Queen Jackie and he really didn't care about us using his name. We had a good old Donna/Hyde conversation, which was cool because I guess I missed it.

Jackie... well, Jackie gave me some advice recently and it's really helpped me alot because Eric and I aren't getting divorced. I listened to what she said and took her advice and we didn't break up as a result. I guess I owe you the latest edition of Cosmo...

The rest of the gang make me smile, but I haven't really spoken to Kelso or Fez so I guess that doesn't count as recently.

Sam and Carlos come to visit

May 7th, 2007 (05:00 pm)
excited

current mood: excited

After a few hours of sleeping on the sofa, Donna's cell phone alarm went off to wake her up. Groggily she woke up, rubbing her eyes and pulling herself up. She sat on the sofa for a few minutes before realizing that Carlos and Sam would be back in around an hour. Getting to her feet she wandered down the hall to Christopher's room and looked in on him. He was lying on his back, wriggling around looking for someone to come and pay him some attention. She smiled at him then went to the bathroom and turned on the shower. She wandered back into his room and lifted him from his crib. "Hey baby," she smiled at him, holding him close to her chest "We're gonna go for a shower, cause we're all smelly...yes," she cooed at him carrying him into the bathroom.

Placing him down gently on the rug in the bathroom she took off his little baby grow, and placed it on the floor. She then took off his dirty diaper and placed it in one of the scented diaper bags, tying it at the top. Removing all her own clothing, she placed them all in the washing hamper, then lifted Christopher into her arms. It felt strange feeling his soft baby skin against hers which seemed so rough in comparison. She stepped into the shower, putting her back toward the stream of water, careful not to scare him. He seemed rather intrigued by the water, his little hand constantly trying to grab the water.

Donna was rather pleased with her ability to wash her hair and her body as well as giving Christopher a wash. Finally the pair of them were squeaky clean. Donna wrapped him up in his cute little baby towel, that had a little hood on it with little ears on the top. She then wrapped herself up in a large, white bath towel and carried him into their bedroom. Noticing the time on the bedside clock, she knew she had to hurry. Laying Christopher down on the bed, she rushed around and got her hair dried and styled into her usual soft blonde curls. She dressed herself in a sweet little white shirt with little frills around the bottom and on the short sleeves. She teamed that with a pair of dark blue jeans and she was finally ready.

She hurried into Christopher's room with him in her arms and put a clean diaper on him. She then dressed him in a little matching top and trouser set, that were stone in color. The t-shirt had little tigers, monkeys and parrots on it and said 'Wild Thing' which Donna found amusing. She then carried him into the living room and placed him in his rocking cradle on the floor. She pulled it over so it was sitting beside the sofa where she could keep an eye on him.

It wasn't long until she had the whole apartment clean and Christopher fed. Just as she was about to sit down on the sofa and relax, she noticed the teddy that Daniel had given him sitting on the table. She walked over and lifted it from the table and threw it over the patio. Luckily there was no one walking past her building at the time as it fell to the ground. She turned and wandered back into the living room and sat down on the sofa. She lifted her foot and bounced Christopher's rocker softly much to his amusement as they waited on Sam and Carlos arriving.

Meeting Daniel

May 3rd, 2007 (12:41 am)

Donna had been dreading this all week, since she received Daniel's call. He'd asked to meet with her somewhere, so that he could finally see Christopher. At first she'd resisted, completely against even letting Daniel anywhere near her baby, but once again he threatened her with the best lawyers money could buy to gain access to Christopher; so reluctantly, she agreed.

It was extremely warm as Donna sat in the park, with Christopher's stroller parked beside the bench she sat on. It was so lovely she'd decided to walk to the park instead of taking the tube; Eric had taken the car to work, it made things a lot easier for him to get to and from work and it meant he wasn't arriving home as late at night. With the temperature being so high she had coated Christopher all over in sun cream and placed a cute little baseball cap that Red had bought him, on his head. The little hat matched the little denim shorts and cotton t-shirt set that Kitty had bought. It was one of many outfit's Eric's parents had bought for him, not to mention toys, a walker and a moses basket.

Donna had received so many gifts for Christopher that neither her nor Eric needed to buy anything for him besides the basic things. He had clothing right up to a year old, which made things a lot easier as Christopher, like most babies, was growing so quickly. He was still breast feeding well and was now sleeping most of the night, only waking around 3am for another feeding. He was generally a really happy and healthy little boy and they thought the world of him. Eric, although not being Christopher's biological father was bonding with him so much, it almost seemed like Donna was only there for breast feeds. She loved just watching the two of them together, she was especially touched to find Eric asleep on the sofa with Christopher lying along his chest sleeping too.

Pushing her sunglasses up a little she noticed Daniel walking along the small path toward them. Donna felt like getting up and just running as far away from him as possible, but she knew no matter how hard or fast she ran he would find her. He too had sunglasses covering his eyes, the rest of him dressed in a business suit, he'd obviously been at work. Slowly he sat down beside her "hey," he offered a soft greeting. "Hi," Donna mumbled in response, this was extremely awkward.

"Hey little guy..." Daniel smiled leaning over Donna to get to Christopher's stroller. He reached in and unbuckled him from it and lifted him into his arms. Donna's heart had never pounded so hard in her life, she was almost afraid Daniel might hear it. "He's gorgeous. Hey Christopher ... I'm your daddy," Daniel cooed, then rubbed his nose against Christopher's. The baby seemed generally content with the affection Daniel was showing him; but Donna on the other hand wasn't so content.

"God Donna, I can't believe how gorgeous he is. He's perfect," Daniel smiled at Donna. "He is," Donna answered promptly. Daniel curled Christopher into the crook of his arm then looked at Donna. "I know this isn't the best way for this whole thing to have happened. I really feel sorry for Eric in all of this..." Daniel mocked sympathy and Donna could see right through it, like a glass window. "No you don't. You're loving every minute of this, otherwise why would you have raped me to get me pregnant?" She didn't look at him, instead watched the older children running around.

Daniel didn't know what to say in response to her accusations, he thought a moment then responded. "Donna ... I don't know ... I can't explain why I did what I did. I just knew I had to have you ... to myself. I knew the only way to do that was to get you pregnant..." Daniel looked at the ground, still bouncing Christopher in his arms. Donna turned and looked at him with complete contempt "You raped me to get me pregnant because you had to have me!? What kind of sick person are you? ..." Donna reached over to take Christopher from Daniel's arms, but before she could reach him Daniel stood up, gripping the baby a little tighter.

"Donna. You can't take him from me, he's my son. Not Eric's. Mine. I'll have visitation rights to him three times a week, maybe more on holidays. I want him to have a father figure in his life, I know you won't want to live with me, but we could make this work. We could be a family." Daniel had never been more serious in his life, than he was right now. Donna stood up slowly, taking in everything he had just said to her "He has a father at home. Eric is his father, he was there to watch him grow, he was there to see him come into the world and he's there for the rest of his life. As for your visitation rights ... you can take it through the courts, because as far as I'm concerned your an unfit example of a father and I don't want you near my son."

Donna took Christopher from Daniel's arms roughly and placed him back into his stroller, making sure he was securely in. Daniel's temper was reaching boiling point with Donna, he reached out and grabbed her arm roughly and pulled her to him. "I have the best lawyer in L.A. I'll fight you all the way and I'll win." He spat before throwing her back out of his grasp. He then took the teddy he held in his arms and placed it beside Christopher. With a menacing look at Donna, he then walked away, pulling his sunglasses back down over his eyes.

At the speed Donna had walked they had returned back to the apartment in half the time it had taken them to get to the park in the first place. She placed Christopher down into his crib, all the excitement and the heat had clearly wiped the poor thing out. Leaving the room again she reached into his stroller that sat in the doorway and took the teddy from inside. Walking over to the sofa she slouched down totally exhausted. She looked at the teddy and thought about what had happened, would she really loose Christopher if Daniel won the court case against them?

DNA Results...

[LOCKED TO ERIC & DANIEL]

The drive to the hospital seemed like the longest drive in history. There were a million things running through her head, all of which made her feel more anxious and scared. What if Daniel really was Christopher's father, everything would just fall apart. Eric would probably move out and they'd have to get divorced, that was the worst part, knowing she was loosing Eric through no fault of her own.

She looked over at her sleeping baby wrapped up in his car seat, totally oblivious as to the hurt and fear going on around him. Part of her was glad he was too young to fully understand, it meant she could shield him from some of the hurt and confusion. She focused on the road a head as she pulled into the hospital parking lot. She tried to find a space close to the entrance, so that if anything did go wrong she would waste no time in getting the hell out of there.

Parked up, she got out of the car and walked round to the passenger side. She unbuckled Christopher's car seat then clicked the handle up, she wasn't going to wake him so decided to just take the carrier in with her. She didn't say anything to Eric, who followed her into the hospital. She was actually surprised the school had allowed him the day off, though when she thought about it, if the news was not what they were looking for he would need the day off.

As she reached the reception she informed the lady at the desk who she was and why she was there. The woman smiled and directed her to the Doctors office round the corner. Christopher never stirred the whole time she carried him around in his carrier, which she was glad of. They walked around to the door, but Donna stopped before she entered, she looked at Christopher and then to Eric. This may be the last time she would ever have the two of them as a family.

Placing her hand softly on the handle she pushed the door open and found the Doctor and Daniel sitting waiting on them. There were only two seats empty, so Donna decided to sit down on the one closest to Daniel, she knew she had to keep him and Eric apart. She placed the baby's carrier on the floor and pushed the hood down so she could watch him as he slept. Eric sat down beside her, never saying a word, but she caught him looking down at Christopher.

"Thank you for coming," the Doctor began. "Now, we have carried out a number of DNA tests on each of your DNA samples, in order to determine Christopher's father." Donna swallowed hard, this was it. The Doctor took off his glasses and looked at them. "Our tests conclude that Daniel Miller is the father."

Donna's head hit her hands the minute his name was stated. It was just too much to bare, she'd built herself up to believe there was no way Daniel would ever be Christopher's father; that her and Eric would get the results and would leave a happy family, forgetting all about Daniel Miller. But in reality, it was a nightmare. The Doctor placed some leaflets on the table "I'll leave these here for you." He stated as he got to his feet "I'll leave you all alone. If you need to speak to me, I'll be in the next room." With that he left the room closing the door behind him.

Donna never moved, it was a bit too much for her to even comprehend. The atmosphere was so thick within the room it could be cut with a knife. Daniel shifted in his seat but before he got up to walk out he reached into the carrier and stroked Christopher's cheek "Hey..." he whispered, careful not to wake him.

# 175 Who's your best friend and why?

April 23rd, 2007 (12:32 am)
thoughtful

current mood: thoughtful

I used to think I didn't have a "best friend" just a group of really good friends. Now that I look at it I have five best friends all for different reasons. We'd spend every moment of every day together, we were almost like a clique; but I wouldn't change any of that for the world.

Fez, strangely enough, was great in his own individual way. If ever I needed attention or just someone to go out with me when everyone else was either against the idea or just busy doing other things, he'd always be ready. He was always great fun, especially because he didn't really understand the American way of doing things, which made things even more funny.

Kelso? ... Well ... Kelso is Kelso. He's stupid, but sweet and funny along with it. He always knows how to make me laugh, usually when he didn't mean to. On very rair occasions, he can give you the best advice in the world ... but ... most of the time he doesn't, but I still love him anyway.

I was definitely really close to Hyde, there was nothing I liked better than kicking back with a few beers and talking about life and other "adult" issues. I think he was one of the only guys in the group that really understood me fully and for that I'll always respect him and love him.

Jackie and I were never really close at the start, if anything she was everything I modeled myself not to be. As I got closer to her and got to know her, the better we understood and supported each other. Being the only two girls in the gang I guess we had a duty to understand the more feminine things in life, but most of the time it caused nothing but arguments. Now, she would definitely be one of the first people I would go to with a problem or just for a general chat. I haven't really been keeping her in the loop with my life recently, but I promise to work things out.

I guess most people would expect Eric to be my best friend and they'd be right. He's my husband and the father of my child I hope and the only man I've really loved my whole life. He knows everything there is to know about me, he can read my emotions like a book and there's no one I would approach over him about anything. I love him.

So the gang are my best friends, all for their own individual things, but I wouldn't give them up for the world.

DNA test

April 20th, 2007 (01:18 am)
worried

current mood: worried

[LOCKED TO ERIC & DANIEL]

Donna stood with a stern look on her face as she watched the nurse take a DNA sample from Christopher. This was her worst nightmare came to life; standing in a hospital room with her husband and her ex fiance having a DNA test done. Christopher's eyes were wide with wonder as he wriggled around looking at all the different things in the room and wondering where he was.

Daniel stood in the far left hand corner of the room. From the moment Donna arrived with Christopher he never took his eyes off either of them. Inside his stomach was churning at the prospect of possibly being the father to the tiny wide-eyed baby that lay in front of him. He wasn't really interested in anything Eric had to say, he was rather glad the ass hole hadn't bothered to say anything. It was best they both stayed quiet for both Donna and the baby's sake.

Donna's eyes drifted from watching Christopher, over to where Eric stood, silently, never saying a word throughout the whole thing. Donna had never felt more sorry and ashamed than she did at that moment. He'd been so supportive of her every day from the moment he found out she was pregnant and for that she'd never forget it, no matter what the test results came back. She wanted to be a family with Eric and Christopher, no matter what the results were. If indeed Daniel was the father she hoped Eric would still stay with them even though he had no biological ties to Christopher; but that was something she couldn't make him do, he would have to do that on his own.

The nurse took Christopher's DNA test and placed it into a sealed plastic container, filling out all the relevant documentation to go along with it. Donna had noticed the nurse that was now doing the test was also there the day she went into labor. Donna lifted Christopher from the bed as he began crying loudly in that sweet baby cry. He was obviously disorientated, tired and hungry and Donna wasted no time in getting him home.

"We'll give you all a call as soon as we know the results," the nurse smiled and left the room. Donna simply nodded as she placed the pacifier into Christopher's mouth, trying to soothe him as she walked out of the small room quickly heading for the parking lot.
